During my art studies, I have experimented with and tried many techniques, including screen printing and printmaking. I often work from a family photographic archive that I inherited from my grandfather; I really enjoy capturing my childhood and, more broadly, my family’s history in my work. In addition, I have spent my whole life participating in the town festivals known as “Moros y Cristianos,” as part of a pirate troupe. Because of this (or thanks to it) skulls often appear in my pieces, but for me they don’t symbolize anything grim; rather, they are a sign of celebration.
